I think the stealing of pledge pins applies to alot of fraternities, not just Pike. Same as if a guy stole a girls pledge manual, she would have to do some task to get it back. The touching of a pledge pin was more for the active brothers, i.e., you touch a pledges pin then tell him to take out the garbage or walk some girl to her car. Since this practice veers towards hazing, no chapter that I know of does it, and if they do they shouldn't. Like I said before, I've heard of it, but I've never seen it done.
