This nation isn't the laughingstock of the world. I cringe when I think about what would have happened around 9/11 with Gore as President.

We wouldn't be at war, and we wouldn't have injured Veterans held up in molded, rat infested motel rooms. (check out the Washington Post for more details)

Hey neat, you actually read the paper one day and found something interesting. You might want to check back and see that officials are now acting on this information. Believe it or not, Bush doesn't know everything that goes on in the country. Its completely idiotic when people on here consistently blame him for anything that happens within the government. I think its great the Post reported on this, it brought attention to the subject and hopefully we'll see quick action to begin fixing the problem. That is a role of the press. If the media would spend more time doing things like this, more might get done. However, usually they spend time blaming things on the administration when the blame should be placed at different levels (Katrina).

As for war, we may or may not be in one. God knows what response Al Gore would have had to 9/11, if any. I'm sure Iraq would be a stable DICTATORSHIP if Gore was president, which would be a great improvement for their citizens...

As for Little, if you bash US leaders, I'll respond whenever I damn well please. If you want to start a separate forum titled something like "People who don't know anything about government or politics-Post here!" I'll be happy to seek my entertainment elsewhere.

Only a republican would be concerned with the system of another country when we have things at home that need our attention (all the while the well being of our soldiers is a vague after thought and the wishes of the citizens are overlooked).

I am not surprised.

Seriously, take a government class. Turn on the History Channel. Republicans are the only ones concerned with systems in other countries? You must be kidding me. I guess thats why Johnson did such an excellent job getting us out of Vietnam. Oh, and Clinton in Somalia. We should get our priorities straight and just focus on America...Wait, what about Darfur?

The wishes of the citizens are being overlooked? Why, because you voted out the evil Republicans and we're still in Iraq? Thankfully, we don't have people like you making decisions for us. Apparently you're unfamiliar with the NON BINDING resolution passed by the Democratic-controlled House. I guess that NON BINDING resolution shows just how serious the Democrats (your party) are at getting us out of Iraq, just like you asked them to.

The smartest things in the whole post. You're right, Bush doesn't know anything that goes on in this country. So, tell Bush Binladen if he wants to save the people in IRAQ so badly, take his ish and move there. We could use someone interested in DOMESTIC issues. Oh, Bush could take some of Tony Blair's balls and get OUR troops out of Iraq too.

Did you major in some foreign policy related field? Man, closing up shop in Iraq would do wonders for that region, huh. Domestic issues, like the booming economy? Things like that? Oh right, we only attribute things to Bush if they're negative.

I love how in a few short years, the "save everybody" left has suddenly become isolationist. I predict we'd pull out of Iraq, elect a new (GOP) president, and suddenly the left would be wondering why we're not helping people in Africa. So lets say we send some troops there for humanitarian efforts, but given the region some of those troops aren't appreciated. A few get killed, and all the sudden liberals are bitching and crying about it.

We could win the war in Iraq next week if people in this country had the stomach for it, but they don't. Everything is a noble cause until it costs us or some other country something. If the left wants to be isolationists, hell yes, lets do it. I've got a pretty strong feeling that the shelf life on that would be pretty short, however.

Little, you sure seem intolerant of other people's viewpoints. You also display a complete lack of ability to defend your opinion, dude.

Not a complete lack of ability, just a complete lack of desire.

Why do you keep coming here anyway? Are there people here who give you the indication that they are interested in hearing your perspective? Isn't there someone in another forum that you can play with?

What on earth gave you the impression that I cared whether or not you wanted to hear my perspective?
