She does get to pick out three choices for her dress though, and the viewers will vote between those three choices. Although she said that she has to pick out different styles. They can't all be strapless, for example. Everything else is up to the companies offering (they pick the three choices) and the voters.
Of course, I don't know if she was exaggerating or not...guess we'll see!
