So far, the last couple of years, there has been no climax to any story that I have ever cared about. What happened to wonderful stories like Cliff and Nina with Palmer always trying to break them up, the wonderful Daisy who knew exactly how to put Palmer in his place, Jenny & Greg with his overly obnoxious mother helping Liza break the love birds up, Angie and Jessie, the triangle between Mona, Charles and Phoebe. These were fun stories, you would count down the moments until you could tune in again and see what was going to happen. Now they keep rehashing old stories, give us horrible characters we can't even begin to form an attachment to or care one hoot about, improbable story lines, change history, etc.
Well, better get off my griping horse.

That's funny! I started watching AMC in college too. When I'd come home for lunch, there were my roommates watching it. Sure enough, I got hooked.
I agree with everything you said. AMC used to have some stability. There was always Joe, Kate, and Mona who would be the loving family.. unconditional love.
There were characters you would root for.. like Nina and Cliff (my favorites!) and Stewart..
There were fun storylines and kooky characters like Opal and the Glamorama, Phoebee and her drinking,
Characters you loved.. like Benny, Daisy, Greg and Jenny, Donna Martin.
Struggles between Palmer (Pete Cooney) and Adam.
I miss Liza (they should have kept her on the show and rekindled the romance with Tad)
Now even Tad isn't fun anymore. He's a murderer and is dark and gloomy.
You're on the money... it's all sensationalism and crazy storylines. Every character is in the "co-ed" jail several times a year and in the hospital several times a year. It's really gone down hill. Bring back my old AMC!

Wait, question: Is Ryan and Annie hooking up? I was confused today when I watch saw the upcoming previews. And why is Kendall so jealous of Annie?
And looks like Kendall is the next victim...do you think Zach can save her?

The question now is... what is the future of All My Children?
Now that the Today Show is expanding to four hours... there are rumors in the trades that Good Morning America will be expanding to three. If that happens, they may ax one hour of day-time programming. Could it be AMC?
Here is a link to that (unconfirmed) tip:

Yeah, I have heard these rumors and I highly doubt this will happen. First of all, there is nothing confirmed out there -- I think people are just jumping to conclusions. And secondly, ABC has a huge partnership with SOAPNet -- bigger than NBC -- I can't imagine them cancelling any of their shows. I just think there is a lot overreacting going on...
Looks like Ryan found out the truth about Emma today! What do yall think is going to happen now between them? Is LOVE in the air?
I hope Kendall does not get mad at Zach!
Can't wait to see it all play out tomorrow.

I don't know.. I'm kind of Ryan'ed out. I'm also Joshed and Babed out too. I wish they'd create some juicy storylines for some of the others who have been kept in the background-- like Myrtle, Opal, Palmer, etc.
Glad to see Maggie back. I hope she stays... but I have a feeling she'll be going back to Paris.
