I'm currently going through informal recruitment for one sorority on campus, and there are 3 events this week. It is all very casual, and we can stay as little or as long as we want. The last event is on Saturday.
I'm confused about how the whole bid process works during informal. Is there like a whole "bid day" on Sunday? Or will they give us our bids that night? I'm very confused about how all of this is going to work. I think that every girl invited initially can come to all 3 events.
Please help???
Thanks!

Good luck from one Bear to a different Bear!

Mercer, keep in mind too that informal works a little bit differently than formal (if you're familiar with the process)...while in formal recruitment there's generally a high placement rate of women who complete the process, this is not
necessarily the case with informal. Sororites don't have a quota in informal recruitment like they do in formal and therefore don't have to take any set number of women. There's really no way to tell whether or not you're going to be extended a bid, or even to predict how many women going through informal will receive bids. I'm sorry if you already know this, but I just wanted to reiterate since all this informal stuff might seem a little confusing if you weren't familiar with the process. Good luck!
