I like jewelry on men. Of course not the type that "looks like it belongs on a Russian mobster talking on his Nokia in Brighton Beach", but something like small hoop earrings and certain types of body piercing is ok. I find nipple piercing on men hot.

I find some piercings hot too. A necklace is different...ear piercings, I'm down with. Even a nipple piercing. The boyf has an ear piercing and wears three different rings everyday, one of which I constantly steal to play with. It's got a spinny band thing on it!

Wow, so I just checked out the prices for the gemstone rings. $3,000-$4,000 is WAY too much for a citrine ring set in 18-karat gold. Citrine is a pretty, but cheap, gemstone. No reason for it to cost that much.

And that's part of my beef! Macy's actually has some fun citrine rings that are much more reasonably priced.

I have a citrine pendant and citrine earrings that together were only a tiny fraction of that price.

Macy's is the devil.

Why in the hell do people at Lambeau wear orange? Did they see the light and become Bears fans or what?

Haha, you wish. I think it's because the orange is really warm since they wear it traipsing around hunting so it's the warmest, most waterproof clothing those guys have. When we went to a game, the Conservinator just wore his orange, a sweatshirt, and long underwear and he was roasting....meanwhile, I was wearing a NF, a sweatshirt, a t-shirt, a long-sleeved t-shirt, long underwear, and jeans and I froze. However, I still don't think I'll ever wear orange.

I really wouldn't want an 18K ring anyway... way too soft. Rings take a lot of abuse. Most of their "gemstones" are of the cheap variety. Totally overpriced and I think most of the stuff is tacky looking. I liked one necklace, but I wouldn't pay $700 for sterling silver with blue topaz. Or $500 for the matching earrings.

Looking at the Yurman website... seems like the bigger the better for them. Rather ostentatious. Lots of mixed color jewels (personally not a fan of, IMO a lot of it is rather tacky), a lot of mixed metal (which I hate! I hate gold and silver colors together on a piece of jewelry).

I'm not THAT picky about jewelry, but there's not much on that site that I'd wear

I think it could probably also work on an NJ Guido.

Holy crap, that's all some gaudy-ass jewelry -- and I LIKE big, crazy stuff. But that's just wrong.

Exactly. A class or signet ring (on the right hand if there's a wedding ring on the left hand) is also acceptable. But no more than two rings total.

This is one funny thread. And mac, those Brooks Brothers pants are giving me very scary flashbacks to patchwork corduroy and madras clothes of the 70s and early 80s.

This whole thread is starting to sound like The Official Preppy Handbook v. 2.0.

Considering most of the dudes I hang with don't even wear watches, I don't think I have to worry about this.
