When I was a neo, I created my chapter's website and my personal mission was to create a "Prominent Alphas" page that was thorough and inclusive, yet accurate.
I got on my regional listserv and asked for assistance, but I told Brothers that I would not include Brothers whose membership we couldn't verify.
So we had a lot of hurt feelings when I wouldn't list Tim Reid, Sr., but I listed Christopher Darden. But, as time went on, Bros understood why I couldn't count an appearance in a sweatshirt on "Sister, Sister" as the standard of verification.
I think the people working on Wikipedia have a good thing going and certain orgs have a better standard than others, but that's not a bad reflection on the org, just an indicator on which groups have the bigger open-source nerds, lol.
