Danita interned for a local paper so there is an article on www.Charlotte.com about this already...hopefully someone will be held accountable for this senseless loss...

Thank you...
My family laid to rest my cousin, Denita Monique Smith yesterday...I want to thank everyone who offered their prayers and condolences during this very difficult time...for those of you who are not in the NC area, a woman has been charged with her death, so hopefully my family will have some type of closure soon...I didn't even mention this in my first post, but Denita was a newly initiated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha...she crossed on December 3, 2006...AKA was something she really wanted (in spite of my ribbing) and I'm thankful she got it..there were at least a couple thousand people at her service and person after person spoke of her kindness and big smile...her list of acomplishments academically and in the community are too numerous to mention...she was an all around good person who touched alot of lives and who will be greatly missed...

Oohsoflydelta - Please know that so many people are praying for you and your family right now. I hope that you find comfort in that fact. I can only imagine how much more difficult this is because of the nature of the crime. However, keep the scripture in mind "Lean not into thy own understanding." My prayer is that you will find peace in He whom provides comfort.

Wow soror. Know that God is perfect in all things, it doesn't make it easier but it somehow makes it better.
Prayers for Ms. White as well
