Everyone is due respect.

It goes a step beyond, though. That kind of language is not respectful of the others reading this thread -- or society as a whole.

It certainly isn't what I want anyone to think of when they think of a fraternity man who is allegedly a gentleman.

If nothing else, that language is a CLEAR violation of the TOS.

If someone was saying the things to me about one of my sisters that RealityCheck said about one of macallan's brothers, trust me, the things that would come out of my mouth/keyboard would be about 100x worse.

And no, I don't think some asshole who comes on here and posts 2 times and says things like "if you buy a car with your own money I'll listen to you" deserves any respect at all. Then again, your ideas of who deserves respect and/or protection have certainly been proven to differ from mine.

My comment is that everyone is due respect in public and personal interaction.

Frankly, I think that's true even if you have little or no respect for them personally in reality.

No.

If someone does things I find morally reprehensible, they get no respect from me in any venue.

But if it pleases you to do whatever you're doing, you go on with that.

If you like playing moderator so much, why did you give it up?

Reality Check 1- thank you for clarifying your relationship to this matter. It puts your posts in a new light, and what I am about to say is not directed at you.

In the grander scheme though- I cannot believe this thread is still going.

Young men who had a connection to this tragedy came here and posted in legitimate anger at how the incident was being portrayed by adults who had no personal loss and who have not made constructive comments.

Macallan is a college student who just saw the devastation of a death at a chapter where he has many friends- and not long after his own chapter suffered another horrific loss.

Reality Check 1, per the above post which I will accept to be true, also has a personal connection to this tragedy.

These people have good reason to be upset and express it.

What excuse do some of the adults on this thread have for your callous and idiotic remarks- including some who are supposed to be leaders and guides on this forum?

Due to certain personalities and posts with which/whom I didn't want to be associated. I have never mentioned them personally here or anywhere else because I think they deserve some amount of respect...as I said above.

I guess I thought everyone here was suppossed to be an "adult." Your word, not mine.
