Yes New York and Boston are definently the pride of America. I have no need for this culture, much less the many different kinds that you accept. I am the real REK, and I do hate the north. And coramoor you are allowed to leave the South any time you wish, just dont let the door hit you on the way out.

Am I supposed to be impressed that someone is the "real" Robert Earl Keen? Who is he?

I don't know but I think that we should stop hating on where your from in America; and concentrate on being Americans. I dont know if any of you are going to win the gentleman fight bickering like that. Everyplace has its uniques attributes, which should be appreciated.

Robert Earl Keen is a texas country musician. The epitome of beer drinking, southern/texas living, good time music. Popular among greeks throughout the south and midwest.

New York and Boston, along with Chicago and Los Angeles, should be the pride of the US. There's a reason that the midwest is referred to as flyover country (and we all know that nothing good lies south of the Mason-Dixon except Maryland, DC, NoVA, and Florida).

Yeah, cities like New Orleans, Charleston, Savannah, Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville...none of those have ANY culture to offer. You're joking right? Aw shucks, I guess we'll just keep it to ourselves. Amazing golf, beautiful women, great weather, beaches and food, yeah, its tough down here. Enjoy winter.

Great weather?!?! Only if you like 110 degrees and 99% humidity. San Francisco, now THERE is some nice weather all year round.

Its cold. Great weather is SD, not SF. Also, Atlanta is rarely above 95. The humidity is high, yeah, but we also have a lot of sunny days and comfortable weather.

I honestly don't know of anywhere in the South that gets that hot minus deep deep South Texas......and I don't even know of when it has gotten that hot there.
San Francisco? Its foggy and cold all the time....

Florida.....haha.....i'm guessing you gel your hair and have a good collection of vertical striped shirts and tan in a can. Do you vacation at Panama Beach too? Los Angeles = "pride of the US??" Are you friggin kidding me? Nothing like a smog filled city filled with cheap new-money trash, liberals, tree huggers, and nut job actors. I suppose we can make South Central our new Capital. New York City...not going to start in on that hell hole because it would take too long. I actually like Chicago and Boston.....so i'll leave them be. Have fun though with the snow and your ugly, pale, nasal voiced women.
I also agree with what Shinerbock said...and also....you're an idiot. You need to get out more.

I get out plenty, thanks. Caltech alone makes LA more important that most other cities in the US. Then add in tremendous cultural diversity and economic importance, and you've got something, even with crime (which is of historical significance in LA) you have an awesome city. As a socialist myself, I find LA somewhat lacking in politics, but if you move down to San Fransisco, there you have a glorious city.
I love the snow, and the winter; I'm not terribly fond of tanning, and our accents trump hideous drawls any day. Keep the red states, though I find it ironic that they receive large amounts of tax-derived federal aid, and consistently have the most anti-tax politicians, at least when they speak publicly.
EDIT: New Orleans isn't a bad city. I just couldn't live there year-round.
