I didn't happen. Never does. The last time JG was in a race like that was Dega a few years back, and the fact that Jr. would have passed him if the race had ended with a single green lap is what led NASCAR to implement the green-white-checkered.
You're right, and I can't argue with on that. Those are great points you made, and a great team is very important for a driver to win races. No Jeff wouldn't be "THE" Jeff Gordon without a great crew, but I think his team wouldn't be good without him either. If the team is really good, and the crew chief always puts great cars on the track for the driver, but the driver sucks, then that team doesn't really serve a purpose. I'll use Jeremy Mayfield as an example. He made the chase the 1st year and 2nd year, but he still sucks as a driver. Evernham Motorsports is strong and rich, but Mayfield who sucks doesn't do his team any justice. If it wasn't for Jeff, Hendrick would be just above average. They would be good, but not as well known as they are with JG.

JJ pulled a great move at Las Vegas by only leading one lap to barely pass Matt Kenseth at the beginning of the season.

Jeff Gordon pulled a great move at Daytona in 1997 and passed Dale Earnhardt, and he won. I have that race on DVD. It was a bold move, but it worked. Earnhardt's car flipped 7 times I think, because of the move. I think it was kind of wrong on JG's part but it was still an exciting move and won him the Daytona 500 making him the youngest driver to win the Daytona 500. I know that was 10 years ago for Jeff, but why would he need to make dangerous or exciting moves to win now? He has 4 championships, he doesn't really need another one. I don't think he will be as daring as he once was. There really isn't a need for that now.

Tony got hurt at the beginning of the season, and Ricky Rudd drove a couple of races for him. If this didn't happen, do you think Tony would have won a consecutive championship. I think he would have. He was winning races in the chase even though he didn't make the chase this year. I think Johnson would have finished 2nd again.
