I've been down in the dumps since I heard about this over the weekend. I wish I could be there to attend her memorial service.

Everything I ever learned about being an Alpha Phi, I learned from Courtney. She inspired me in ways I'll never be able to put in words. She was one of the first Alpha Phis to welcome me at my very first regional conference, and she inspired me to be the best chapter adviser I could be - tough and firm, but fair with a deep, abiding love for the chapters we advised.

If I could do anything in her memory (other than making a donation) it would be to strive every day to live up to Our Fraternity's ideals, and to the personal standards of excellence Courtney set for herself and for others.

AOE has never had a more poignant meaning for me as it does now.
