A good pledge class consists of maybe 45 people, tops 50. Anything more is too many. It's angered me with my own fraternity.
My pledge class (we were charter members) was 133. What do you think of that?

Congrats to Beta!!

From one Miami Triad to another, congratulations on your colonization.

That's fine, you're in a sorority. That has nothing to do with fraternity men.

You are also in a Sorority.....which is completely different. Elephan Walk is correct. Pledge classes in the 40 - 50 range are about perfect. Some would say 50 is even pushing it. Most chapters that exceed that probobly aren't very good and try to blanket bid as many guys as possible.

Fraternities on this campus, while smaller but with a better greek life, usually start out with 20 or so at max. Then, during fall rush they'll pick up 15 or so and build from there.

It's not a pledge class. It's a new colony.

There is probably NWIH they could secure decent housing or anything if they started w/ a colony of 20 and "built" with 15 a year.

I understand it is a colony. That does not matter one bit to me.

It seems to me that Beta HQ is prepared for the large colonies, so if they found 83 quality men for a colony, then great! Congratulations!
