I LOVE country music. I like the legends (Johnny, Hank, Merle, etc) but I don't mind the new stuff either.
Here is my current favorite country music singer. He's a local, I've been listening to him forever but he finally got a contract, should have a song coming out on the radio soon and his CD at the beginning of the year. He's got a great voice, great personality, and he's pretty easy on the eyes. He still plays in one of the bars here about once every 2-3 months and my best friend and I always get there at least an hour early so we can be front and center. http://www.myspace.com/lukebryan My favorite song he has posted right now is "We Rode in Trucks" but my all time favorite song of his is "First Love Song".

That is pretty much the majority of what i listen too. I even stream online country stations in the south for a better mix of music.

I DO I DO!
I love Carrie Underwood, she's probably my favorite.. I'm also a fan of Garth Brooks, Dierks Bentley, TOBY KEITH <3, and duh of course George Straight and Johnny Cash.
I can't STAND Sugarland though, that chick's voice is so annoying. I'm not big on Reba either.

How could I forget Carrie Underwood? Love her -- can't wait to see her tonight on the CMAs. You know that she was nominated for 5 awards! Go her! Anyone else as excited about the show tonight as me?

I think Jennifer Nettles is the lead singer of Sugarland, and its kinda weird that she's in mainstream country music now. I think she's actually a pretty good vocalist, but I remember when she was playing the local Atlanta scene, and Soul Miner's Daughter was a pretty far cry from country. Like other genre's, Nashville country has become business over artistry by mass producing artists rather than simply promoting them.

I wouldn't say I love Country, but I listen to it sometimes and enjoy most of it. Daughter number one does promotional appearances for a local country station.

Promotional apperances, that is cool!
Did anyone see Brooks and Dunn on The View today promoting the show? They were funny. And Cameron Mathison (Ryan from All My Children) was on talking about how he was going to present an award tonight at the show with LeeAnn Womack -- did anyone catch which award? Love him! I could look at him all night long
