"I am my kid's mom"
Al has used some low tricks to sell books (like using other's names on his crummy books: Rush, God, etc.) but this is the lowest:
If you now order his boxed set (and he has plenty returns to stick in boxes), you get a free "Dr. Laura Talking Action Figure".
It's described: The figure stands 11 inches tall and "preaches, teaches and nags" on demand. With each push of a button, the Dr. Laura doll speaks one of 23 of her most well-known sayings in her own voice. These sayings include, "Now, go do the right thing," "I am the proud mother of an American Soldier," "Don't argue with me, it makes me testy," and "I am my kid's mom."
If you really want to support Al, for a $500 contribution to his midwestvaluespac.org, he'll call a conservative of your choice and lie to him or her.

Seconded. That's almost as good as GI Jesus. With real blessing action and gliding motion!

Delt, I'm aware of that, but thats especially true in liberal arts degrees (which I have). I imagine engineering and scientific degrees may convey more usable knowledge.
I didn't know he taught at Kennedy, nope.

Yeah, that was in the Wikipedia resume. He was a fellow at the Kennedy School.
The guy's certainly not dumb -- I don't think you can be and succeed in the kind of comedy as he did.
His resume and academic background would seem to confirm that.
They're still mediawhores, though.
