What makes Coulter anything more than a celebrity in a political pundit's costume? Sometimes called a mediawhore.

OK, I looked at both resumes on the always reliable source.
One graduated Cum Laude from Harvard, one from Cornell.
From there the paths are different but have some similarities. One went to law, one to entertainment. Both are authors. Both are described as "pundits."
In my opinion, both are now "entertainers."

I think they're both entertainers as well, but I think Coulter has substantially more experience in the legal/political field.

Franken's degree is in Government, often known as Political Science.
That was one of my minors, not that it's relevent to this discussion.

Maybe. Too bad she doesn't take better advantage of it. She presumably has the legal education and experience to know how to construct persuasive and supportable arguments, yet intead she is, as you conceded, a media whore. A rich one maybe, and smart enough to laugh all the way to the bank, but a media whore nonetheless.

Government and Political Science are not impressive degrees. They teach you very little about policy and politics. Now if he graduated from Kennedy then that is quite impressive.

They teach you very little about anything useful to real life in most college degrees.
People learn that when they get out of the academic ivory tower.

She's a man in a celebrity costume in a political pundit costume. Nothing he says is of any value whatsoever.
