Joan finally had her breakdown with Toni leaving.
Can they stop talking about her (Toni) already? LOL

I think it'll be interesting to see Monica and Joan be friends. I kinda liked their interaction during the "Lemon Squeeze".
I'm glad Joan finally allowed herself to feel the pain of Toni's cutting her off. When Lynn and Maya initially confronted Joan about not admitting to the pain while Joan was carrying plates, I was seriously thinking, "Don't let her throw them down a la Florida Evans."
Now, I kind of want to see how Joan carries on after finally admitting that her heart was broken by Toni's departure and treatment of her.
How do y'all feel about Lynn and Maya sneaking behind Joan's back to have dinner with Toni at Flame? I only remembered the name because Lynn said, "Flame is lame." lol ---> yes, a small laugh

It would be nice, but I remember reading that the show was now going to focus on how Joan deals with losing Toni in such a way that it resembled an unexpected or sudden death. Joan already went through denial, and now she's just beginning to cope with the reality, then she has to accept it. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I believe we have quite a ways to go before Toni is removed from the show.

I think their sneaking to see Toni only helped the writers. If they would have told Joan, maybe she would have tried to confront "Toni". That would have meant getting Jill (not) or someone to play the character.
They "saw" her. She tied up her loose strings, now move on. LOL If it was to be all of that, plus some, they should have given Jill/Toni her pay raise.

Like jojapeach, I also somewhat expected a dammmmnnnn dammmnnnn dammmnnnnn! moment. But the whole thing was tastefully done and realistic.
I enjoy Monica's position on the show, but I think it willbe short-lived because William isn't really in love with her.
And generally....the show is still funny as heck to me. I laughed out loud several times -- and I rarely laugh out loud to tv shows.

We need to kick it up a notch from Donnie to "God is Trying to Tell You Something."

Mary Mary
Joan should be having her "Yesterday" moment, right about NOW!

I'm not feeling the new season of "Girlfriends", either. Without the quick wit of Toni Childs, it's just not the same.
And I agree with you, BlessedOne...I miss "Half & Half", too! I hope they knock either "The Lame" -- oops! I meant "The Game" or "All Of Us" out of the lineup to make room for "Half & Half" midseason.

Agreed! Both of those songs fit, but I personally like Yesterday.

I thought that maybe they would use Monica as a "replacement" for Toni. Even though her and William may break up, maybe they will keep her on as Joans bougie(sp?) friend.
Dag, how many weddings has Joan been kicked out of?

I'm still bitter over them not bring Half & Half back (I even wrote a letter). And I am so tired of The Game. How many times will it show her being a jealous/insecure girlfriend?
