Whew! When I saw the title of the thread my heart skipped a beat because it was going to say something worse. She will definitely be im my prayers as someone I truly respect.

Hi GC,

About this time yesterday, I learned that my mother was involved in a serious car accident. The car was total-ed . . . Thankfully, by the grace of God everything has turned out to be well, for the most part. But she's still in the hospital.

So today, I humbly come to this e-family and ask that you all please pray for my mom. Anyone who has read any of my past posts can easily see that my mom and I are joined at the hip and means the world to me. I just pray that nothing too long-term comes from this.

Thank you all for the prayers. . .

My mom is home now . . .but she's still in pain though. I really wish I could be there right now but Thanksgiving break isn't till 2 weeks. So I'm just trying to finish this work till I get there. I guess in time, all things will work out. I just won't ever forget what she told me . . . about how I should consider myself lucky becasue "I almost died . . . and you almost lost ur mom" (Mom's words) how do you get over that? I guess I really hae something to be thankfull gor this year . . .

You get over it by focusing on the fact she was able to tell you that. I understand your relationship, because my daught and I are also joined at the hip. Rejoice that she is still here--do a happy dance, and bombard her with cards (does she do email?) until you get home. I am glad that she is okay.
