What would you classify as a good quality student? Is it someone from a good family or someone who is a good student or both? In my high school experience, without exception, my biggest trouble making friends were all products of private and parochial schools. Their grades weren't any better than those of us in public school either and test scores were probably about the same.

Depends on the private school. There are some which are just havens for troublesome kids, but other won't let them in. For example, if I live in Atlanta, I'd likely send my kids to Woodward or Westminister.

I know three young ladies that attended Pace. Is it comparable to the schools you named? One went on to medical school at UPenn, another to art school at Northwestern and the other girl should be a senior this year.
