I'm fairly sure he meant 41.
As for the private school thing, you're right they're not all great. There are people in my church who send their kids to Christian schools which are absolutely terrible. I personally went to public school, and would send my kids to public school if we lived in an area where they are quality. Also note, I would never buy my kid in HS a BMW 7 series. If he asked me for a lowered, thugged out bmw, I'd feel the same way I do about a scion. Basically, I imagine I'll be one of those "pull your pants up, don't cock your hat to the side" type of fathers. I thought those things were stupid when I was in HS, I think they're stupid now.

I'll slap my kid silly if he dresses like that.

That's me as well, although I like to think I won't have to tell him those things.
But I am absolutely amazed sometimes when I see the cars some parents are buying for their kids.

Same here.
However if the public school isn't up to par then I will still send my child there as long as my child's life isn't in danger. I went to a bad public HS and I believe the same thing that my parents believed: keeping good parents and good students in those types of systems are the catalyst for change.

You're right, I mean, its the same thing with bad neighborhoods and stuff...however, if I had gone to my high school like it is now, I'd have hated it. I don't want my kids to go somewhere where expectations are low and they really don't like being around the people that go there.
