Like for real, in the great scheme of things, what does this matter???  In 10 years, why would this be important? Handle this situation..?? let it go, why give others power over your self worth?? over how you should be viewed??
maybe I'm getting old, or maybe I've been working at this high school for too long, because this is the same song my students sing..

Okay, did everyone miss the question? Handle what situation?
I don't have a situation to handle. I asked a question and expected OPINIONS on the question asked. I gave an example of a greek situation (since this is a greek message board). I could have used another example like why men or women let their significant other change who they are, but I didn't. Why is everyone so fixated on the example and not the question. Am I missing something?

She changed because she's weak and has self-esteem issues. That's my opinion.

That's the problem with questions like this. There are so many untold variables that who can really give an informed opinion?
