I can't put it any better - people who insist that you choose between circles of friends aren't truly your friends.
I don't know about your chapter, but we always had a LOT of people in our suite who were either members of other GLOs or none at all. Can you invite some of your non-sorority friends to your house (or whatever) for a study break or a party or something? Maybe, just maybe, they'll see that we don't bite, and cut you some slack.
And if that doesn't work, try the old "pro and con" list. Will your friends be there for you when you transfer to another city or another state - that's just one question I'd ask myself. If you want more, PM me.
