This popular Singer has fought hard against the rumors that she is gay. She has softened her look and image, and she has been looking very feminine. She started appearing with a boyfriend and the rumors died down, but she recently took a vacation with her girlfriend…her boyfriend was nowhere in sight. Photographers caught her smooching her girlfriend while they were on vacation in Italy. How will she explain these photos?

'Cleopatra Jones' actress dead

BALTIMORE, Maryland (AP) -- Tamara Dobson, the tall, stunning model-turned-actress who portrayed a strong female role as Cleopatra Jones in two "blaxploitation" films, has died.

Dobson, 59, died Monday of complications from pneumonia and multiple sclerosis at the Keswick Multi-Care Center, where she had lived for the past two years, her publicist said.

At 6 feet, 2 inches tall, Dobson was striking as the kung-fu fighting government agent Cleopatra Jones

in 1973. She reprised the role in 1975's "Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold."

"She was not afraid to start a trend," said her brother, Peter Dobson, of Houston. "She designed a lot of the clothing that so many women emulated."

Dobson also appeared in "Come Back, Charleston Blue," "Norman, Is That You?" "Murder at the World Series" and "Chained Heat."

She had TV roles in the early 1980s in "Jason of Star Command" and "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century."

Dobson lived most of her adult life in New York, her family said. She was diagnosed six years ago with multiple sclerosis.

RIP Cleopatra.

For some reason, I'm not convinced those are pics with Alicia with her lover. I get the impression that she is taking some family members on a vacation. Her mom's white, ya know.

I dont think either one of those women is Alicias "girl", but the Under Ground buzz mentioned that the singer was vacationing in Italy, and there just so happen to be recent pictures of Alicia vacationing in Italy. Yeah, I am aware that her mom is white.

The woman in the jeans is Alicia's mom. Not sure who the other woman is, but I doubt if she is her girlfriend.

Man claims R. Kelly beat him and stole his song idea

CHICAGO (AP) — A man describing himself as a "mentor and guide" to R. Kelly since he was a teenager is suing the singer, alleging that he attacked him and reneged on an agreement to pay him for a song idea.

In a suit filed Wednesday, Henry "Love" Vaughn says he's worked for Kelly off and on for years.

The suit says that in February he went to Kelly's suburban Olympia Fields home to watch a basketball game and that one of Kelly's other employees became "verbally abusive." It goes on to allege that Kelly, 39, and others dragged him to the basement, attacked him and held him against his will.

Remember the actor who played Ebe' (Thelma's African prince on Good Times)? He passed away recently due to lung cancer at the age of 72.

That means he was 40 or so when he was on Good Times.

That's sad. JJ was in his 30s when Good Times went off the air. So, JW is in his 60s.

Yeah, I saw the photos of the alleged kis on another board as well. But a still photo does not always tell the whole story so it is hard to say what was really going down. Either way, it's her business. I just like to hear her sing.
