To update, I guess after having it x-rayed today it's just a sprain. Brace, ibuprofen and ice.

I duno if this is an inside joke, but it made me laugh out loud for real.
Today the front of my right knee felt like someone kept poking dull needles into it, and the back of my left knee felt like someone was stabbing it. Ironically enough, I was working my clerical job at a radiology clinic. It'd be cool if I could get it xrayed or MRId for free!
Centaur--- is what you had kinda the same as an inflamed patella and MCL? That's apparently what happened to me when I sprained it a few months ago and it's been hurting so bad lately and if it even bends slightly background it feels like something is tearing. I think there's something else wrong with it because the patella feels WAY different than my right patella.

Upper and lower back pain since yesterday. I only get relief when laying flat on my back.

I feel fine right now, but today, as I was talking to a new tutor on my staff, a kid hit me in the nuts.
Not on purpose.....she's in special ed and has serious issues.
But I was hit in the nuts nonetheless.

No, actually I think I had a unique problem, nothing my doctors had ever seen their entire careers. I had a severe lateral patella tilt which means that my patella didn't track properly and leaned severely to the outside of my leg. I was in physical therapy for a different problem, but I started getting shooting pains at the back of my leg, on the very inside just above my knee. That patellar tilt had caused all my hamstring tendons to go into permanent spasm. I can't even go into how painful that was. Think of having pain at a 10 every single day, and you can't sit, stand, lie down, put any pressure on the back of your leg for any length of time.
For you, I'd go see an orthopedist. Does your knee feel unstable, ever give out, lock up? It might be an ACL or meniscal problem. I've also had problems with my MCL but I think those were all entirely related to the fact that my entire knee structure sucked to begin with. Sorry for the long answer. I'm a medical nerd :P

Yeah the orthopedist told me it was just that inflamed patella thing, but I'm thinking differently since the kneecap on my left knee feels way diff than the right one. My knees used to lock when I was younger if I had them bent for a long time... it was scary and was the worst pain ever, so I've learned to constantly unbend my knees and never sit on them. And they always feel unstable.

I can relate-- I popped my knee a number of times in judo.. and have had knee surgery three times.

So yesterday morning I popped it again going down some stairs... So after sitting in the dr.s office for about an hour in pain today they took x-rays again. At least this time I saw my actual doctor, last time I went to urgent care. So yeah, they're trying to get me in today for an MRI. The doctor thinks it's the ACL. No judo or jiu jitsu for a LONG time it looks like.

The same thing as every day - knee pain, lower back pain, and neck pain. The pain might be associated with my CFS... but then again I don't have much if any cartilage left in my knees, and I "frayed" (less than a tear, more than a strain) my ACL & PCL on my right knee 6 years ago (ironically on Halloween) - and I put my back and neck out when I went sailing of the turret of a tank when it fired without warning 13 years ago... so really I'd pretty much be in pain anyways ~ it's just now I can't take any pain-killers 'cause they'd react with the medication I'm currently on

At least they can get you in for the MRI really quickly. If it makes you feel better, I have no idea if I'll ever get back to taekwondo. Okay, that probably won't make you feel better, but just know that I know what it feels like. Welcome to the gimp squad!

I have had the flu TWICE this month. I have had it for 5 days now, and the fevers will not go away. The first time, it eventually ended- but I did have to miss a day of work. This time, it started on Friday in the middle of a class tour I was doing. And the fevers keep ebbing and flowing. I know both hits have been the flu because usually colds have a certain progression that these do not match.

I have a bad cold. I'm coughing and I've lost my voice... and I have two job interviews this week!

My left knee has been popping for 3 days straight. It hurts so bad at night that its hard to sleep. I need to go to the doctor, but currently hate my GP & need a new one. So maybe I'll try to get an appointment next week if I can find a new doctor that I like.
I think it is Tippiechick's fault - she must have popped it out of place when she gave me a JUDO CHOP to the knee while I wasn't paying attention. She is quick (and sneaky) like that!
