I know they didn't tell me that. But a couple people certainly implied that it could somehow be dangerous if I post my story. So why should I bother writing out my entire story on here if it could somehow jeapordize my rush. I'll post where I end up so anyone who is interested can see if they have a new sister. I don't see why you're so up in arms. I've just rethought my original plan of posting my experience, and keeping it safe by simply posting where I eventually end up. That's what's important afterall.

How's this for a suggestion?
Why don't you post your rush story AFTER you're done?

I don't see how that would help. According to my understanding this unfortunate girl was found out after she already received a bid. This is why she was forced to depledge. If I post my story afterward, they could still find out who I am. Is this correct?

You know what? It's really up to you. It really doesn't matter to me if you decide to post a story.
I see recruitment stories as a courtesy to GC. You don't have to do one, they're appreciated by many, especially when done right.
What's most important is you finding a home on your campus. So...I'm sorry if I've thrown some reality your way. I don't believe in blowing sunshine up the PNMs asses, so if I'm guilty for telling it like it is, then so be it.

Obviously it's up to me, it's my life. I'm sorry but I just feel too vulnerable to share my story. If anyone is interested in hearing some of my thoughts during recruitment I can send out some PMs. I will post where I end up on bid day as well. I won't say which houses I am a legacy to, but I will give opinions on certain houses if PMed, in case anyone is curious about their chapter. Thanks for everyone who has taken such an interest in my story. I'm sorry I won't be able to share it with everyone.

Thanks Buttonz, I don't want to say where I get invited back, just in case. I would also never say anything rude about any of the houses. I know they all have something special to offer. I have friends in almost every house, and they are all so special. I just don't want to look back feeling like people judged me because they knew I was Caligirl (good or bad). I hope everyone can understand my decision. I will let you know on bid day, and through PMs for some of you. Thanks everyone.

I'm interested in your story. Would love to hear how Recruitment has changed since I went through Rush at your school back in the days when the school was much smaller and there were still dinosaurs walking around on earth.

Re rush stories: it's one thing for alums who are long out of school to say "I LOVE hearing honest opinions!" There was a girl on here who told her rush story and was very honest about her opinion of ASA on her campus and it didn't bother me at all. However, if I was a collegiate member of that sorority at that school, I might feel differently. "I worked my butt off on that skit and she said it was boring? SCREW HER!!" I know we all say we wouldn't do that, but rush is an emotional time.
If you're going to post a rush story and don't want to get found out right away, don't say where you are rushing and don't post the real names of the groups. If you read old ones the PNMs are much more open. That was before bad crap started to happen.
Re white, I've heard the "below the waist" rule also - no skirts or pants. LOL at white jeans. They keep trying to bring them back and what did I see the other day? A 75% off rack full of them. Unless you're stick thin or a small child, you do not need white jeans. Bleached out jeans yes, white ones no. Guys used to look semi cute in them, but they just aren't kind to females.
