LMAO
1. The old Asian guy said that he didn't fit the Asian stereotype. As soon as he said that it said "Nail Salon Manager" on the bottom of the screen.
2. The wild chicken chase.
3. The fat hispanic guy said something along the lines of we came from the islands and now we're going back to the islands.

Who else watched last night?
I'm not usually a Survivor fan, but I was curious so I tuned in. I'll probably check it out again next week.

I don't watch Survivor either, but I was curious to see how the castaways would react to the splitting of the races. Either they didn't seem to really mind or CBS did some good editing. I will watch next week to find out what happens.

I laughed my butt off when he said that. Next season they should pit the 4 tribes against one another by major religions in the US: Christians vs Jews vs Muslims vs Athiests
That would be hilarious to watch them debate about God being on "our" side.

Warning: cheeky comment ahead (|)
While the Christians, Muslims and Jewish are occupied with arguing about whose side God is on, the Athiests would just sneak in and take the whole thing, since they won't be pre-occupied in arguing about whose side God is on, thus leaving more time to plan their Survivor strategy...

No surprise that someone's already hooking up.
I love the fact that they're in the Cook Islands. We often refer to the people of Cook Islands and Aotearoa (NZ) as our Maori cousins. Their language and customs are very similar to ours.
And FYI: the tribe names are taken from 4 of the islands: Pukapuka, Rarotonga, Manihiki, and Aitutaki.
Interesting so far...!

When I was a senior in college, I hosted a girl from the University of Otogo. She and 30 other Maori students were on exchange for 6 weeks at UHM. When we sent them off at the airport, these students did a haka for us to show their appreciation. Most of us were in tears and had goosebumps because it was *THAT* moving. Needless to say, I could tell it freaked out a bunch of tourists not familiar with the haka.
Our Warrior football team performs a haka before and after each game.

Just thinking about all the hooking-up that would happen on that show makes me cringe. During last night's epi I was like, "They've only been there for two days and they're already shacking up!"

ha ha...well, I don't know if the nail salon issue is an Asian stereotype, so much as a VIETNAMESE thing (which Cao Boi is). The nail salons here are, for the most part, Asian-owned and staffed and when you inquire further, yup, they are Vietnamese.

Brad with the headache (Asian Team) is definitely a Friend of Dorothy. My gaydar knows these things.
And why is there no team for "brown people" (i.e. people of India / Pakistan / that general part of the world descent). Helloooo???? My co-worker, Kiran was asking that at work today and she is right!

He has said in pre-show interviews that his experience keeping this fact about himself secret will help him keep other secrets on the island.
I wonder if he really kept it as secret as he thinks he did.

If he thinks he is good at "keeping secrets", then he rather misguided. Hello, he works in fashion in LA. Between that and his not very hetero-sounding voice, WHERE is the secret-keeping? HA HA HA HA.

I know! I didn't think they'd merge so quickly. They should have waited until 4 people were voted out.

I was glad to see Candice voted out last week. This week, it was Jonathan. (Has anybody else noticed his voice sounds a lot like Alan Alda's?) But, was that the best strategy?
It probably would have been wiser to vote out Adam, since he is so strong-- and he's very well liked. Jonathon, on the other hand, would never get the vote to win the million.
My pick for the big cash? Yul. He's been playing an extremely brilliant game.
