That removes a lot of the competitives from the PNMs and places it on the House.
Plus, it means there is no comforing illusions (Rush was comptitive, quota, total etc) if a fraternity doesn't give you a bid, they just didn't like you enough.
Also, men don't seem to suffer from the form of wishfulfillment of seeking to join a GLO X-many years after leaving college, as much as women seem to . . . .
