I wonder how anyone could have missed this when proofreading the layout! I showed it to my wife and she found it in no time at all!

It probably has more to do with the mindset of the person doing the proofreading than anything else. People see what they expect to see, i.e. the old lady at IHQ sees a group of "nice young men" cleaning up the highway.

When the alumni look at it, they automatically look for the guy flipping off the camera, because you know he's bound to be there.

That same Paedagogus has a guy diving into a bodysurf. He looks like he's in some kind of drunken rage. I wonder if the picture was cropped to delete any traces of alcohol; since you'd have to be pretty bombed to dive into a group of people with that kind of ferocity.
