You're right. They have to keep the cargo hold pressurized since many people will check their pets when they fly somewhere and also because they plane wouldn't be able to land if the pressure was completely skewed.

True, but manytimes it is not the pressure, but the Temp.

The thing is, it is a knee jerk reaction to a situation.

I always packed everything to be stowed except basics not any of the things that are mentioned.

Before the moroon tried to light a shoe bomb, I was flying out of Orlando with a DJeep Lighter and the Security asked what it was? A lighter, and they could not work it! Dar. Told them it was adult proof via Federal Regulations.

If one is astute enough, you will find that most of these discoveries are by snitches, not good police work.

Hell, not degrading MI-5, CIA, FBI or anyother Federal Enforcement Agencies, they aint that good! It comes from the Local People in the trenches.

I've found it pretty interesting to see the news footage of cops with automatic weapons walking around US airports.

That's been the case in European airports for years -- but looks decidedly out of place in Boston.
