They are told this is not a Pre-AKA organization and not to go to ______ College/University and wear these shirt or walk up to an AKA and say "I was an Ivyette".

Even though I am an active member of my sorority and I want my daughters to one day experience this sisterhood, they do not have the right to be AKA's. Just because mama is one doesn't mean they have automatic rights. I do not want them going the legacy way. Maybe I'm wrong, but I didn't have that privillege and I'm glad that I didn't. If they choose to go another route... , (LOL) I will support them because they have to love their organization. I don't want them in AKA if their hearts aren't in it.
1st paragraph: lmao, who you tellin' u can imagine my HORROR when I mistook these babes for sorority women [i.e., they looked old enough to be in one]. that's cool the high school groups there don't actually wear colors, around these parts they do! Well, at least the main color, like the Delta girls and Kappa boys groups wear Black and red [which you will also see Deltas and Kappas rockin'] but everyone else actually wears the orgs colors. While I'm like on that, it's not that big of a deal. HOWEVER I've been other places where they have hand signs, "calls", and well, basically everything the frats/sororities have, and I'm like as a matter of fact, check out this page and tell me what you think, all I have to say is I found it when I was looking for more information on it for my brother:

http://www.geocities.com/kl_1922/KLphotos.html *shaking head* someone needs to get BEAT DOWN!

2nd paragraph: I wish everyone felt like that! I've seen it in EVERY org. It is sickening to hear on all occassions. I remember on one occassion I was out with a friend of mine who's an AKA, and a girl came up to her and was like [verbatim] "uh, yeah, my mama is a "skee-wee" *throwing up pinky* I'm going to be one of your sorors soon" I counted to ten like A HUNNID TIMES! but since that didn't work, and the visions of me knocking her to the ground and riverdancing on her chest just wouldn't go away, I had to just go on ahead and leave.
