It's ALWAYS an issue no matter how old or young they are! I can't STAND those shirts! Show you're a future "insert org here" by doing some service and other GOOD things they do in the community! Your parents being one does not let you lay claim to being one! My bro, who is 9, is dead set on being a Kappa
because of the colors "red and white for boys as he says" and he knows so many, they've even offered to show him how to cane--I never let it go down though. But I let him know QUICK that going around saying that he "is going to be" or, God forbid, having one of those idiot shirts is NOT what's up! If when he gets to college he's tip top on his game, and they choose him, then fine, until then, it's not up for discussion, but we do work on things that'll make him an excellent candidate like service, political involvement, learning other languages, extra-curricular business, science and engineering programs and studying abroad! HE should be more concerned about being a FUTURE DOCTOR/ENGINEER/LAWYER above all, everything else is a DISTANT second!
