Definitely send a mass email around to all of your personal contacts telling them you're getting ready for your second year in school and to announce you are going through sorority recruitment. Ask your contacts (friends, family, teachers and relatives) if they can put you in touch with sorority alumnae (that represent the sororities at your school, but did not necessarily have to have attended that university) that they know so you can talk to them about their experiences and possibly secure informational recommendations.

You can also get in touch with the Alumnae Panhellenic in your hometown. Check out the General Advice thread-- I have a section about how to find recs.

Paging Zillini!
