I got a lot of crud at the time this happened, but for some reason, I never thought they had anything to do with it. I don't know why...maybe I can't reconcile the thought that "normal" people would do something that horrible. There was a case a town over from mine where something similar happened; the stepfather was accused, convicted, and his conviction was later thrown out, so that probably plays into my thoughts here.
At any rate, whether or not she was innocent, it's in God's hands now.
