The value of the diamond is often associated with the workmanship - the better houses and ones that kiss the DeBeers butt get the better specimens, but it's all uphill from there. Also, simulated and lab-created gemstones are not the same thing. Simulated is just that - fake. Lab created means the same conditions and events which create natural gemstomes are recreated in a lab environment so the product is a better speciment - not the real thing, but not simulated either.
