Sad thing is alot of the reporters who put this junk out there are GREEKS...
Collegiate Greeks did not start "hazing"-- hazing has been going on as long as there have been any kind of organized groups-- the military is one of the oldest existing examples.

I don't advocate the tired anti-Greek college journalist who goes on a tirade against urban myths and tries to go "undercover" at fraternity rush to see what it's really like, but I think we as Greeks and we as a community can make better and more informed decisions when we know what is going on in the world and on our college campuses. And part of this is reading news reports of alleged hazing incidents. If we don't acknowledge the problem exists, then it continues and spreads--- maybe to your chapter or it effects your relative or your friend.

Yes, the news can sensationalize-- they need to sell newspapers. But overall, I like knowing what's going on-- I'd rather know the truth than see something swept under the rug and made worse.
