At High Tea in Vancouver this September (2005), Leslie (one of my pledge sisters) and June, an alum from the 50s, realized that they were both AOIIs and had known each other through summer cabins for YEARS!
Second experience:
Whilst in Coffs Harbour, Australia, I was trying to explain to some Scots and an Irish bloke what the "Great Panda Caper" was. [This was the year the DKEs stole every AOII Panda they could find, including removing a three foot high one during a party!!] One of the women who was with us that night approached me the next day. Lo and behold, in sunny Coffs Harbour were two AOIIs. She was a former CP from near Philadelphia and when we got down to Sydney, we went out to see an opera together at the Sydney Opera House. Nice close to an interesting trip, eh!
