My journey to become an AKA has taken me the better part of the last four (4) years of a goal/dream I've had for nearly eighteen (18) years (hence, one of the explanations for my line name
). Now that it's finally happened, I plan to make the most of it.
I will be attending our NFD Celebration in Jackson, MS, this weekend (my first major "event" as an AKA). I've also been appointed my chapter's Historian, which is quite an honor as a new sister (a couple of my line sisters were appointed our Hodegos and Philacter as well). I plan to run for an elected office once I'm eligible to do so.
I am also on our Constitution & By-Laws committee, as well as the Fundraising Cmte. I already have an idea of a fundraiser that'd be my "pet project" for the semester. I'll let you know what comes of it!
