(Nov. 6, 2001) Christmas is a very special time of the year and the world's best-selling female group, Destiny's Child, took time out of their very busy schedule to record a brand-new album of well-known holiday classics and original songs. 8 Days of Christmas will surely be a popular Christmas stuffer for the stockings hung by the chimney with care.
After taking this CD home from work and listening to it, I must say it is much better than what I thought while listening to it at work on the computer. Silent Night, does not sound so horrible after all, and both Kelly & Michelle delivered well on their solos, (except for a part where Michelle sounds a little off key). Their Christmas Medley is also nice. However, I don't really like how they (DC3) feel the need to modernize and speed up some of the songs such as 'Little Drummer Boy', and even after listening to it at home I still feel they turned 'This Christmas' into a disaster.

Toni Braxton's Christmas CD is very nice for cuddling up at home. There are only a few of the more "traditional" Christmas songs on there, and the song written by Babyface does not sound at all like a Christmas song, but as a whole the CD is nice.

Even though I've bought these new Christmas CD's my 'Motown Christmas, New Edition and Chipmunks CD's are the ones getting major play.
