Nupe: a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Sands: this has a bunch of meanings. 1) your line brothers/sisters 2) a person who has the same line number as you 3) someone who crossed the same semester or year as you
Line: same as pledge class
Crossing over (the burning sands): when a pledge (finally
) becomes a member of the organization s/he's been pledging.
