Have fun on your trip!
I am also planning a road trip and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I live in Tulsa (OKLAHOMA
) and will drive with my husband to Nashville for a very exciting appointment I have there. The normal route is Tulsa to Little Rock to Memphis to Nashville, but I am willing to deviate from the main path if there is something good to see.
I know when I am in Nashville I want to tour the new HQ in Brentwood. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have been there once, for the AOII convention in the early 90s and I stayed at the Opryland hotel.
I have already visited the AOII chapter at Rhodes College in Nashville (to initiate a friend as an AI.) I will definitely visit Vanderbilt since I am obsessed with college campuses. I think Ole Miss is just an hour south of Memphis, right? Is that an easy side trip to make do you think? I am sure it would be worth it to visit Ole Miss. It sounds like my kind of place.
I'd love any advice or suggestions, though. We'll be going for a long weekend in August. Thanks!
