Wow, the whole light-switching-on behavior reminds me of the story of this past year's Collins Talker. One of the girls who I met from over there said that her roomie was so obnoxiously loud that most of the floor could hear her whenever she was on the phone. I mean, I would probably be a little quieter on the phone because every door in that dorm has a vent to the outside (which is regularly unscrewed when folks lose their keys--so if you're ever going to be at Collins in Baylor, keep a screwdriver in your purse, LOL). But this girl? No, no shame at all. Her roomie ended up doing most of her studying at the library and the honors dorm (hence me meeting her one day) because she had no concern how her actions would affect her roommate, including the whole TV-while-you're-sleeping bit.
