I did sleep on an Aerobed as my actual bed for about a year and a half. After my sophmore year in college, I couldn't sleep on my mattress at home because it was really old and I had strained my back. My parents were too cheap to buy me a new mattress, so they bought an Aerobed. We got the Deluxe Twin and got an eggcrate to put on top of it and placed it ontop of my boxspring. It was the most comfortable bed I had slept on to date. I spent two summers like that and my senior year in college. We couldn't bring the boxspring to my apartment, but we brought the frame and got a large piece of plywood to add some support. My parents finally bought me a "big girl bed" (brand new queen) last fall when I graduated and got a full time job. The Aerobed isn't for anyone, but I had grownup with crappy old mattresses, so I wasn't spoiled by good mattresses.
