Okay here is the lowdown on the weather....
Last week we were in the triple digits.
This week we are in the high double digits.
We will probably be in the triple digits when convention arrives. Temps will be between 105-115. It really depends. Last year we never got higher than 115 I believe.
From the way the resort is set up, I do not believe anyone will ever be leaving the hotel to go to a meeting. The only time anyone would leave would be to go to the casino (21 and over girlies) which is about a mile away. That is one reason GC liked the resort because the casino wasn't in the hotel and they wouldn't have to worry about the underage gambling (since I'm sure a majority of the collegians might be underage).
Clothing:
I would bring a variety of clothes. Shorts, skirts, capris, tank tops and t-shirts (then don't forget the appropriate clothing for meetings, lunches and dinners).
Flip Flops or sandles, mucho importante. Trust me when it's that hot you don't want to have to put socks on unless you absolutely have too, plus if you are just running down to the gift shop or pool or whatever you don't wanna have to worry about putting shoes on. Flip flops take like two seconds to slide onto your feet.
BRING A SWEATER OR CARDIGAN!!!!! I have been told that the meeting rooms are usually chilly. Which means for the prosessional it NEEDS TO BE WHITE!!!!
BRING YOUR BATHING SUIT!!!!!!!! Enjoy the pools! Enjoy that it is hot enough to go into the pools
