First of all I want to say hello to my lovely sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

To reply to your post I say this. I am the son, brother, nephew and grandson of AKA women and since I am a Sigma I have been "a part of" Zeta processes and I will say this. There is no difference in the bonding of one group over the other. I have seen small lines in both organizations and I have seen line of 86 AKAs cross my cousin being the #79. I have also been around while my girlfriend, at the time, crossed 56 of 80 DST. I have yet to really see a correlation between # of people online and the bond that is created. The larger lines have cliques in them but so do the smaller lines. I think it has more to do with the personalities on the line rather than the # of ladies you have on the line. So to answer your question it is really a #s game. The more members you bring in the more likely you are to have a large grad chapter of women who are willing to work and stay financial. That is what an organization needs is women who are willing to make a true commitment to the organization and its values both in money and in time. There is another question you need to ask yourself. I think Delta and AKA have taken a really good step in the right direction. The more you have the more likely you are to have members who will stick around. The more likely you are to have that lady be the mother, sister, cousin, or aunt of another young lady who will know from a very young age that ZPhiB is THE WAY (my father, both my brothers and my nephews are Sigmas). Think of how many women go to college knowing AKA is for them or DST is for them it is because they knew someone or was related to someone or who was educated by someone in that sorority. Don't we want ZphiB to have access to those women also? A line of 5 ladies can get mad at each other and never become active again but if 5 women out of 100 get upset you still have a chance of 95 of those women staying active. So I understand what you mean by quality over quantity but I also understand the idea that "cream rises to the top"(to quote my grandfather) so you can have a line of 100 women and let 50 just pay dues and let 10 really stand out and let Zeta use that money to effect the world with it's wonderful sisterhood or have 10 ladies and let those 10 be exemplary and those 10 pay dues and then we have an org needed money to carry out the GREAT IDEALS OF OUR BELOVED SORORS (The 5 Blu-tiful Pearls). Just my 19.14 cents worth.

Brotherly,
LoJ
