your thoughts on large lines

So since no one answered my first question of the day, I have another question.
What are your thoughts on large lines? I am talking 100 plus.
What are the pros and cons? I am not trying to be controversial I am truly interested in hearing what people think.

Ummm...I personally don't care. If a chapter has that many qualified canidates then more power to them!

There was 33 of us on my line. I had a hard time remembering all of their information:

First, Last Name
Hometown
Major
Line name
Line Number
Classification
How many siblings, etc, etc,:D

I learned it though! I can't imagine being on a line of 100 or more. However, if the candidates are qualified, then as stated above...more power to them!

yall feel free to delete this post if I've said too much.

I'm partial....On one hand, I just cant see how one could have that bond and really KNOW each other, however, there are people who came in on small lines and really don't KNOW each other....

GREAT TOPIC !!!!!!

I think that it is always great to have a large number of women interested in your organization but in the case of my organization, I feel that it is not only a must for the new members to get to know each other but the current members to get to know them as well,(seeing as how membership is by invitation only), and the current members will be doing the inviting, they must know the prospects individually. We promote the principle of sisterly Love~ I know how hard this was to obtain with there only being 11 of us so I can't imagine 100. .

I personally thought my line was rather big...we had 10.

Shout out to HEFA02!!!

But very recently the ladies of another organization had a line of 30. I have very strong feelings on the subject. I feel like how can you possible have that TRUE sisterly bond with 29 other chicks.

I hear what you're saying about some small lines don't truly know each other. And I'm not saying I'm best friends with EVERYONE on my line. However, I do honestly love all 9 of my line sisters and would do anything in the world for them.

Finally, I saw first hand how there is no bond between the 30 of them. At the club one evening, a guy and one of the members of this sorority got into an argument and he started fighting her (like smacks and punches) and every last one of her "line sisters" stood there and watched it go down. A member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. ,my organization had to pull this "man" (and I use the term loosely) off of her.

So much for sisterhood...

I just don't see how the size of the line has anything to do with the bond. You could have 2 people on a line and they show no love to one another. And you can't force people to do anything. Either the love and respect is there or its not.
