Foreign TV shows and movies
If you watch, what do you watch? My parents subscribe to Fairchild TV, which is a digital (mostly) Cantonese TV channel in Canada. It carries a lot of the shows that air in Hong Kong. Most of the shows are kind of silly (period dramas with charcters acting like they're in 2006...you know, ditzy girls and stuff like that), at least those that I've seen.

One of the network channels here carry shows from TBS Japan -- mostly J-Dramas that have 20-25 episodes each. The channel also has Soko Ga Shiritai, a show that features Japan's many different delights. It's very similar to the Nippon Golden Network, except KIKU airs from 6-11pm and you don't have to pay for it.
My mom's addicted to the local Korean station -- KBFD. It's Korean programming 24/7 and their dramas are very, very popular...so popular that the Entertainment section of the local newspaper has a section dedicated to K-Dramas every Sunday!

I'm sure if you saw some of my entertainment posts about shows you'd notice that almost all of them are British shows, with the odd American one (but that's not really foreign is it).
Short List of British shows I watch (or own DVDs of):
Yes Minister, Yes Primeminister (an oldy put a goody about politics)
Torchwood
Doctor Who
Rome
Spooks
Battlestar Galactica (mini-series and first season were Brit)
Blackadder
Brit Movies:
hello, anything by Stanley Kubrick - one of the best (in my mind) Vietnam flicks was filmed entirely in Britain - Full Metal Jacket.

I watched the Young Ones, still do when I catch it
The Seventh Seal is Swedish, and is easily in the top three movies ever made. It's set after the crusades/during the plauge. Watch it, pay attention, and tell me it doesn't make you think about things, because it will.
I like Japanese animes, some of them. Not most. Actually, I don't like anime. I like Full-Metal Alchemist and sometimes Ghost in Shell.
Korean dramas are crazy. I had no sub titles so didn't watch long.

Haha, is it those from that TVB station? When I was living in back in asia, my dad hated those shows and didn't allow us to watch it. So we end up watching the english channel instead that's why I was able to keep up my english despite the fact I lived there for half my life (but I was born in the states)
But yeah, I have to admit their acting is silly too!

Probably. I think Fairchild TV airs imported shows from both HK networks as well as a few locally made shows (mostly talk shows and news programs. All in Chinese.)
Were you in Hong Kong?

I've falling in love with Koeran dramas. We get AZN and ImaginAsian TV. Both are on digital cable. My two favorites are Princess Hours and White Tower
