The only gold I wear is my aggie ring otherwise no gold for me. I also never wear purple, I am not a fan of the color and have nothing in purple (well except some birth stone rings-amethyst-why oh why did my birthstone have to be the one color I cannot stand?). And ditto to the sweatsuit thing. I was at a semi nice restaurant the other night when a woman walked in wearing her Juicy C. sweatsuit in bright pink-talk about tacky. I also never wear ear rings-too lazy to put them on.

The blue and black thing drives me crazy.
I also refuse to wear jumpers of any kind. I was given several maternity jumpers and I looked like that crazy lady with 18 kids.
Oh, and no plaid, pleated skirts. I went to catholic schools for 12 years, I have no desire to look like I am back there.

my sweats are reserved for outdoor activities or just around the house or grocery store...I don't do navy but I would go brown with accersories if I had to ...crocs are just yuck!!! I change my purse to match shoes/outfit..
(listing is easier...)
tube tops---not much tatas to hold it up
visible bra straps--trashy
shoes and purses or belts that don't match--brown shoes with black purse or vice versa
Uggs
wearing pj pants out somewhere like on campus or in the store...go home and get dressed!
chipped toenail polish--just take it off already...
carrying a high end bag with ANYTHING just because its high end---some things just don't match!!!
I love fashion so I could go on and on.....

http://www.redhatsociety.com/info/howitstarted.html? in their defense, they admit they know it doesnt match!
lol funny, seeing as how red and purple - together - were my favorite colors in 6th grade!

socks and sandals - if it's too cold to wear sandals alone, it's time for close-toed shoes
vests - just ugly
skinny jeans - not very kind to curves
dark bra with light shirt - TMI

Here, here... I see way too many women who think that is okay.

i know ive had this argument on GC before, but shouldnt you wear a dark colored bra under a light shirt anyway? if i have to see another woman doing the white/light colored bra under a white shirt... it'll be too soon.

I've always thought you wear a bra color that matches your skin tone under a white shirt?
I would never, ever wear jeans so low they show undies and/or butt crack. Much less with a belly shirt. *shudder*

I agree. I also would never wear the flip flops that are about 4 inches high. Platform flip flops are not necessary....ever.

Sorry Alpha Chis, but my mother always told me if you wear red and green together, you will look like a Christmas tree. That thought always stuck in my head

There was an article in this Sunday's Washington Post about appropriate clothing at 3 college campuses in DC, MD, and VA.

I won't wear:
- Crocs (fugly)
- Capris (they look like you were trying to sew long pants but didn't buy enough fabric)
- Tops with 3/4 length sleeves (same thing - they look like you were trying to make a long-sleeved shirt/sweater but ran out of fabric/yarn)
- Miniskirts (I no longer have the figure for them )
- Anything midriff-baring (same reason)
- Anything brown, peach, yellow, orange, or any other Spring or Autumn colors (I'm a Winter... it's ok if those colors are part of a print as long as they're not the dominant colors)
- Anything with an empire waist (makes me look pregnant)
