I wear my brown jeans with a black shirt & I have a pair of shoes that are brown/black. I like it -- but perhaps I should rethink?!
I think it depends on the shade of brown. This can look really chic if it's a cocoa or something like that, but if you're doing the "well the brown is so dark no one will notice it isn't black" thing you need to be flogged.
