ASA had a colony like that too, I forget where.

They recolonized in 2003, but they closed and recolonized (not sure what that is called) all in the same school year.

Yes, dukedg is right, thanks! I couldn't think of the word for it either, and I was distracted when I posted previously. |

				Alpha Phi at Duke

As a member of the BN^ chapter that closed and revitalized, I can assure you we were on campus from about 1997 through fall of 2000. We made a decision to revitalize the chapter and take alumna status while still in school rather than let it die with us in school. In winter 2001 (yep, spring semester after we went alum), APhi did an "open house" sort of presentation during round 1 of formal recruitment, then participated in rush fully afterwards. They were "revitalized" officially (charter returned) in 2003...so technically it was a third revitalization, but they kept the deuteron status.

Given their numbers from this year's rush, and getting updates from their advisor throughout the week (my mom helped them during polish days this year, so the recruitment advisor sent out updates), I am happy to see that our sacrifice wasn't in vain - I'm so proud of them!!!

Hope this helps clears up confusion...there is a tendency to forget that the first revitalization ever happened, which is painful (not going to lie) but I'm happy its working out now....hopefully if I have a daughter that goes to Duke, she can be a Phi too!!

Quota at Furman was 36. Kappa pledged 36, including three legacies!

I believe these are the final numbers:
ADPi 36
Chi O 36
Tri Delt 36
DG 34
KD 36
Kappa 36

Everyone at Furman was really excited for such a successful recruitment all the way around!

Apparently at Baylor junior pnms are not counted as part of quota. A group may or may not choose to take juniors. Quota was 49.
