How did everything go in Tuscaloosa today after the craziness of yesterday? I only know one PNM that is going through recruitment at UA, but haven't heard much from her mom.
I'm really surprised that there isn't much talk on here about UA recruitment this year like there has been in years past.

Today went much better. Some chapters are still meeting..the moving vans were late. They started early this morning to accommodate the parties they needed to make up. They are calling for rain again for Pref...fingers crossed it hold off until after the parties. The PNMs wore their yellow shirts today...I saw so many cute pairs of shorts

I heard a stupid rumor today that there had been a computer glitch, and 500 girls were cut completely due to grades. That can't really happen can it? I would hate that for these rushees.

^^^^Long-standing urban legend. No such thing. Likely made up to make those who MAY have been cut for grades feel better. Even if women were legitimately cut for grades, there's no way it was THAT many (that's 1/4th of the PNM pool!)

Yesterday went well without incident. She finds out today which houses invite her to the skit rounds. Keeping our fingers crossed. She was asked back to 9 houses for Phil round. I heard second cuts can be deep too, so we are hoping she has close to a full schedule today after cuts.

the cuts actually weren't too deep.. they changed things up this year with adding a second day for skits so the cuts for pref (we have been warned) will be huge.. from 15 overall party slot times to 7 whereas before we went from 20 to 15.. best of luck to all
